Course Description

This course is designed to help you learn more about yourself and how this understanding can influence your success at school and in the wider world. You will have opportunities to gain industry insights through regular guest speakers and site visits, all incorporated into the program to help you make informed decisions about your future career or further studies.

As part of this course, you are encouraged to attend Lifelab Career Day events (coordinated by Nelson Regional Development Agency), NMIT Taster Days, and the Fantastic Futures Event.

- Describe Strategies for Managing Stress

Self Awareness Units:
- Describe Aspects of one's own Lineage/Whakapapa
- Identify Personal Support needs and Services in the Local Community

Term 3
Work and Study Skills Units:
- Explore career options and their implications
- Produce a personal targeted CV

Term 4
Optional Unit:
- Demonstrate Knowledge of Time Management
