1DVC - Level 1 Design & Visual Communication
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Maitland, Miss N. Cardwell.
Students will develop skills and knowledge of freehand sketching, instrumental drawing, computer aided drawing, rendering and model making in response to spatial and product design briefs. DVC is an academic course with practical elements that will give you valuable skills, knowledge and design experience for any creative industries tertiary course.
Recommended Prior Learning
Having competed Year 9 or 10 DVC or Year 9 Product Development or Year 10 Product Design will be a beneficial but not essential.

This course is assessed using a mixture of internal assessments and an externally assessed portfolio. Not all assessments will be used, but a selection that will reflect the learning and students interests.Credit Information
