Course Description

Representing ourselves and our values to each other, our communities, and the world is an increasingly important skill.
In this course, you will explore examples of how others have represented themselves in order to promote and celebrate themselves and their successes. You will learn about a variety of communication techniques to develop skills to promote yourself, a business and/or a product in real life situations.
You will read, view and listen to a range of non-fiction texts and develop your understanding of how texts are created to be both informative and persuasive in real life situations.
You will also use your understanding to create a range of written, visual and/or oral texts to effectively promote yourself, a business and/or a product.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A personal laptop is strongly encouraged for all class learning and assessment work.
