1TEX - Level 1 Technology Textiles
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs C. Laufkotter.
Students will develop knowledge of material properties and how they can be manipulated into creative outcomes. They will also extend their skills in design sketching, basic pattern alteration and construction. These skills will enable students to create innovative textile outcomes to meet real-life needs and opportunities, following a Technology design process.
Recommended Prior Learning
Previous experience with textiles or product development would be an advantage, but not required.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students need to provide their own materials for individual take home projects they design.

Students will complete two main projects which generate evidence towards a third piece of work for external assessment.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
