1WEN - Level 1 Workshop Engineering

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr H. Jones.

Students will learn a wide range of exciting and fundamental workshop engineering knowledge and skills that will give them a lifelong understanding of engineering. This course has a practical focus. In the first project students will learn how to make machined parts using the lathe, drill press, milling machine and specialist engineering hand tools. They may decide to develop their own outcome or develop a working kant clamp to be used for welding. In the second project students will use the engineering and design skills that they have acquired to develop a bespoke air cannon.
