3PED - Level 3 Physical Education
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr B. Geddes.
Covers practical and theoretical components of physical activity. Practicals may include badminton, handball, ultimate, ki-o-rahi and other team sports. Theory topics include principles and methods of training, coaching young people to learn a skill and biomechanics.
Recommended Prior Learning
Positive levels of participation, social responsibility and achievement in 2A Physical Education.
It is possible to do this course without previous experience in year 12 PE. A conversation with the HOLA is required.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
