Course Description

This course develops the knowledge and skills required to manage a business by forming, planning, marketing and running a business through two selling cycles. It teaches students how to work with others, deal with conflict and work in a team to achieve common goals and other real life skills.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students must be committed to working as part of a team over several terms in order to complete this course.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Start-up capital will be required by each student to buy shares in the newly formed company/companies. This typically ranges from $25 -$50. It is hoped that students will receive this back upon successful completion of the course and if the individual company make a profit.

Managing your own business and/or having a better understanding of how a business operates, functions and deals with internal and external factors that affect a business' success.
Assessment Information
Assessments require you to work in a company and with others and you must be committed to the class for the full year.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
