3TEX - Level 3 Technology Textiles
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs C. Laufkotter.
Students will develop complex skills and knowledge in design sketching, pattern making and construction techniques. These skills will enable students to follow a design process to create innovative textile outcomes to meet real needs for an external client.
Recommended Prior Learning
Level 2 Technology Textiles experience. Or by discussion with the teacher in charge.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students need to provide materials as required for individual take home projects they develop. A visual diary for design sketching.
Assessment Information
Students will be assessed using a selection of the above standards during the course of the year. Alternative unit standards are available as an alternative assessment method, to be negotiated on an individual basis as required.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
