10TEM - Technology Metal

10TEM
Course Description

Students learn basic engineering skills by making three small outcomes: a bottle rocket, a welded log and a tool box. They will learn how to use specialist equipment and to work collaboratively with others.

In their final project, students will follow a design process to develop and make a prototype that meets an identified need or opportunity.  They will test their prototypes in situ for suitability and performance.

This course meets the achievement objectives for Year 10 technology and leads to senior product development and workshop engineering courses.
