3ESL - Level 3 English as a Second Language
3ESL Course Description Recommended Prior LearningIntermediate level of English (ELLP Stage 2-3).
This course is designed for students who are planning to study at Poly Tech. It focuses on reading and writing skills necessary to achieve in their other subjects. The course also offers English Language (EL) credits at Levels 2 and 3 which contribute to NCEA Level 2 and 3 certificates. Standards are selected to suit individual students.

Assessment Information
Students have the opportunity to gain up to 30 credits if they are prepared to work hard. On average most gain between 15-20 credits.
