3TEX - Level 3 Technology Textiles
3TEX Course Description Recommended Prior LearningLevel 2 Technology Textiles experience. Or by discussion with the teacher in charge.
Students will develop complex skills and knowledge in design sketching, pattern making and construction techniques. These skills will enable students to follow a design process to create innovative textile outcomes to meet real needs for an external client.

Assessment Information
Students will be assessed using a selection of the above standards during the course of the year. Alternative unit standards are available as an alternative assessment method, to be negotiated on an individual basis as required.
Patternmaker, Artist, Tailor/Dressmaker, Textile Process Operator, Retail Sales Assistant, Cutter, Fashion Designer, Sewing Machinist, Graphic Designer, Interior Designer, Industrial Designer, Visual Merchandiser, Upholsterer, Garment Technician
Contributions and Equipment/StationeryStudents need to provide materials as required for individual take home projects they develop. A visual diary for design sketching.
