Course Description

Tourism is one of New Zealand's largest industries and employs a large percentage of the workforce. There is a growing need to get a young and talented workforce into the tourism industry to support New Zealand's post-Covid recovery. Tourism offers students an insight into the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in the tourism sector, both in New Zealand and overseas. Our learning and assessments are designed with the student's interests at heart and are informed by tertiary institutes such as the New Zealand School of Tourism.

Pathway
Career pathways are wide-ranging within the travel and tourism and hospitality industry both in New Zealand and overseas. Travel and tourism careers can include working in the airline industry, hotel industry, adventure tourism, and event management. New Zealand will desperately need talented young people to work in the tourism industry in the next few years.
