2DAN Course Description Recommended Prior LearningLevel 1 Dance or some dance experience and an understanding of dance choreography.
Examples may include:
- Dance classes with a private tutor
- Dance classes with a dance academy.
- Dance examinations, competitions or awards.
- Participation in Nayland College Dance Company.
- Previous performance or choreography experience.
This course develops skills in choreography, performance and dance analysis.
A minimum of 20 credits will be available through a variety of practical and theory based standards. Students must be able to work collaboratively with others in small and large group settings. Public performances are an important part of this course headlined by the annual Dance Showcase.
